Five Tips For women To Become Entrepreneurs With Creativity And A Vision For Growth

With 10.4 million women leading businesses in Brazil, an economist shares guidance on creativity, planning, and management for entrepreneurship.

The rise of female entrepreneurship in Brazil has broadened the debate about the role of women in the country’s economic development. According to the most recent study by Sebrae, based on the IBGE’s National Household Sample Survey (PNAD Contínua), currently 10.4 million Brazilian women run their own businesses — equivalent to 34.1% of the 30.4 million entrepreneurs in the country. The data reveal an increasing participation of women in business activity, although challenges persist, such as income inequality and greater difficulty in accessing credit.

In this scenario of growth and transformation, experts and female entrepreneurs have sought to share experiences and guidance to help expand the female presence in the business world. Economist Danielle Paulino, commercial director of the company 2a1 Cenografia, brings together lessons learned over more than two decades of experience and points out five practical paths for those who wish to start or strengthen a business with creativity and a vision for growth.

Founded in 1999, the company started modestly and, over the years, expanded its operations in the market for set design and themed events, now serving around 400 shopping malls in Brazil and other Latin American countries. The experience accumulated throughout this journey has served as a basis for formulating guidelines aimed at new entrepreneurs.

Start with the resources available

One of the first recommendations is to start the project even with limited resources. According to Danielle, many businesses start simply, but can grow through initiative, creativity, and determination.

“We didn’t have any money to start. We even pawned a watch to buy basic materials,” she recalls. The economist emphasizes that the most important thing is to start the project and transform limitations into opportunities through creative solutions.

Using creativity as a differentiator

Creativity emerges as one of the main drivers for business development. Innovative ideas and original solutions help attract customers, differentiate the company in the market, and generate value.

For those just starting out, the advice is to invest in proposals that offer unique experiences to the public and respond to market demands in a creative way.

Planning and structuring processes

As a company grows, planning and organization become fundamental to sustaining expansion. Structuring clear processes helps improve operational efficiency and anticipate demands throughout the year.

In the businesswoman’s experience, advance planning is essential to ensure the execution of projects. “Careful planning and execution are the pillars of our success,” she states.

Investing in a committed team

Another key point for consolidating a business is building an aligned and engaged team. A company’s growth depends on collective work, involving different areas and skills.

Therefore, investing in people, valuing professionals, and strengthening teamwork contributes to improving the quality of deliverables and strengthening the company’s reputation in the market.

Having the courage to evolve

Finally, entrepreneurship also requires the courage to make strategic decisions and adapt to the necessary changes throughout the business journey. Transitional periods, such as expanding structures or changing phases of the business, are part of the growth process.

According to Danielle, this type of decision was crucial in her experience. When the company outgrew its initial structure and needed to occupy a larger space, the change marked a new stage of development and consolidation.

The guidelines emphasize that creativity, planning, and adaptability are fundamental elements for entrepreneurs who wish to build sustainable and competitive businesses, especially in a context of expanding female entrepreneurship in Brazil.
