Brazilian society has been officially called upon to help the country meet the targets committed to under the Paris Agreement on climate change. Environment Minister Sarney Filho has officially announced the opening of the so-called “structural dialogues” with stakeholders involved in the challenge of curbing increases in global average temperatures. The goal is to have a plan by October.

Brazil’s contribution targets are considered to be one of the most significant worldwide, precisely because they involve the whole of the country’s economy. “With our national efforts, we will show that the Paris Agreement is viable, and that the process of combating climate change is irreversible,” said the Minister Sarney Filho.
