According to a diagnosis made by the World Bank, the reforms made last year have made the Brazil jump 16 positions forward in the ranking of the 2019 edition of the Doing Business report.

This means that Brazil has moved from the 125th to the 109th position. In addition, the country was considered the nation to implement the most reforms in Latin America. For the World Bank, four reforms were decisive: digital certificates for import, improved access to credit, online system for opening companies and electronic system

for managing power supply.

“Governments have the enormous task of fostering an environment where entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises can thrive”, said World Bank President Jim Yong Kim (photo). According to him, without sound and efficient trade regulations, there is no chance of ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity.

What is Doing Business

Doing Business is a ranking that assesses how easy it is doing business in 190 countries. The document is put together by the World Bank and according to the institution.
