September 2nd  is coming soon which means BR Day NY 2018 is in the air! Although we’re still a few months from the event, people, especially Brazilians already have plans to attend this year. This spectacular event was created in 1984 by João de Matos as a way to celebrate Brazil’s Independence day. At first, the party was restricted to 46th Street, now known as Little Brazil; but over the years it grew so much that it needed to be moved to 6th Avenue. BR Day NY has an audience of more than 1 million people that fill several blocks surrounding 6th Avenue. It starts from 42nd street and ends around 57th street! If you’ve never attended BR Day try to make it this year, you won’t be disappointed! It’s a day filled with great music, delicious food and beautiful happy faces. Come celebrate the beautiful Brazilian culture! The party starts at 11am and ends at 6pm, this festival is free to all. BR Day NY is co-produced by the entrepreneur João de Matos and the newspaper The Brasilians, with the support of TV Globo.
