Sales of Brazilian shoes abroad have generated US$ 162 million in businesses for the national footwear sector this year. The deals were closed during 13 international trade initiatives by the federal government, including participation in events of the sector and trade missions.
According to the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), the number of trade partners in the sector jumped from 99 to 160 over the last year 18 years. Currently, 250 Brazilian companies account for 80% of all exports.
